If you want to eat your sausages unscathed, do not put them in boiling water. After all, it is very likely that they will burst. It is best to bring the water to the boil first, then put the sausages in and turn off the stove. Ten minutes later, the sausages are warm and certainly not burst.
Tip: Add salt to the water
You can also add some salt to the boiling water to prevent the sausages from bursting. Why should you take salt? Quite simply, the pellet of a sausage is a so-called osmotic membrane. This can be penetrated by water molecules, but not by the salt molecules that are in the sausage.
More specifically:
When two liquids with different salinity meet, there is an exchange. When cooking sausages, it is then the case that water penetrates the sausage and causes it to burst. So add a little salt to the boiling water, there will be no exchange and the sausage will not burst. In the future, always boil sausages in salted water.
