When gardening, pollen often gets on the clothes. Removing the pollen is one thing in itself. The best way to remove it without staining is to follow our guide to remove pollen from fabric.
If you always have cut flowers in the house and arrange them in a pretty vase on the table, then you will surely have had a problem with the pollen. It is part of the flowers, but on the white tablecloth you can’t even want the yellow or orange pollen. When it pours down on the tablecloth, one has a strong effort to get it away – without stains this is usually not possible. At least not if you don’t know some little tricks. Remove pollen from fabric – step by step instructions
Step 1 – Knock pollen out of the fabric
Basically, you should not put water to the stain first. Through the water, the pollen penetrates even deeper into the fibers. First, gently knock off the pollen. This allows the superficial loose crumbs to be removed and makes it easier to remove pollen from fabric.
Step 2 – Take a tape to hand
Now you should take some tape at hand. Either wrap the tape with the sticky side outwards around the finger or you carefully place the tape directly on the dirty spot. The remaining pollen can thus be peeled off or peeled off. Avoid rubbing the dust. Now the coarsest dust should be removed.
Step 3 – Treat stain with spirit
Now you should gently soak the stain with spirits. Leave on for a short time and then rinse the stain with warm water. This is very important, because otherwise the spirit could attack the tissue.
Step 4 – Wash as usual
Now put the garment in the washing machine and wash it as usual. The fabric is now thoroughly rinsed. The pollen should now ideally be completely removed.
Pollen on the wallpaper
If you want to stop this procedure from the outset, then you should cut out the dust vessels or spray them with hair varnish – and the problem is already banished. If it happened accidentally that some pollen landed on the white wallpaper, then you should quickly pick up a white bread slice. Now rub carefully over the wallpaper with the white bread slice. The pollen should then have disappeared. In this way, you can also remove soot stains. Instead of using a white bread slice, you can also use a clean eraser.
