Time for more coziness

At home, I usually just press the button on the coffee machine. Instead of frothing milk, I always choose the fast version. Especially in the morning there is usually no time left. Most of the time I’m already sitting at the table with my laptop or am already half out the door. Deceleration, that’s the magic word. In my opinion, the winter season is perfect to take more time. These are simple ideas that you can quickly duplicate. Perfect for a little moment to conjure for yourself.

Two secret ingredients to make gingerbread latte

The ingredients to make gingerbread latte are of course super easy to guess. In fact, there are two ingredients that may surprise you. I used a coffee spice mixture: Aladdin’s coffee spice, but you can find something similar. The mix itself is quite rich and therefore it can be used as a basis. I also used the raw cocoa beans. I discovered this ingredient in a small health food store and absolutely had to take it with me. It is recommended to use them to refine muesli, desserts, biscuits and cakes. Of course, the cocoa beans also go perfectly with coffee.

How to do it

To make the latte you need strong espresso, 250ml milk (depending on the size of the cup), organic spice, cocoa nibs , cinnamon and 1 tbsp vanilla syrup.

  • I use my Nespresso machine, but of course the recipe works with any standard coffee maker.
  • In my case, I used the frothing machine for the milk froth.
  • Of course, you could also heat the milk in the top and use cream instead of the milk foam.
  • It is important that you fill the cup halfway with the hot milk.
  • Now you bring the vanilla syrup underneath and fill up with espresso.
  • Finally, the milk foam or the cream follows as a topping.
  •  Finally, I dusted the drink with the spice, cinnamon and the cocoa beans.
