Drinking chocolate on a stick can be conjured up quickly. It’s fun to make with the children, and is a wonderful gift or treat at children’s parties.

You need

Couverture (for 8 pieces approx. 200 g), cream, wooden handles, small cups (in our case, fruit dwarfs), pearls and more to decorate, whipped cream, if necessary cocoa powder and flavor

This is how to make the drinking chocolate on a stick

  • You let the cream get hot in a pot. The amount is based on the type of couverture. 
  • With white chocolate, we take no more than a small shot, so that the bottom of the pot is covered, with the milk chocolate, it can be 5 to 8 tablespoons. 
  • The chopped chocolate is melted in the cream. 
  • If the chocolate is liquid you can add cocoa powder and flavor as you like. We only chose some cacao powder. 
  • Now the chocolate is poured into the mold. 
  • Let it dry briefly and then put the wooden stalks in the middle. 
  • Then you can decorate the drinking chocolate on a stick with topping. 
  • Once completely dry, you can also remove them from the cups. We did not do that because we liked the little splash of color from the cups so much.
  • The drinking chocolate on a stick then dissolved in about 200 ml of warm milk. If you try the recipe, we wish you a lot of fun as a gift or enjoy yourself!

Cocoa beans contain so-called flavonols (a subgroup of flavonoids). These are valuable phytochemicals. However, it is important that you choose high-quality and carefully processed products. It is best to use a raw and pure cocoa powder (without sugar or other ingredients), eg from the health food store or health food store. So you have it in your own hands, how much and what sugar you add. In addition, the raw materials are usually processed more gently and there is a greater chance that all the good ingredients are included.
