The environment, pollution, and temperature changes strain our skin every day, making it dry and cracked. To do something good for your skin, you don’t have to resort to expensive products from the drugstore, but can quickly and easily remedy yourself. How do you do that? We’ll show you two variations for a peeling body scrub to make yourself.
Why use a peeling body scrub?
The coarse component of the peeling body scrub dissolves the dead skin cells, promotes blood circulation and stimulates the production of new cells. By gently removing the skin flakes, you prevent the pores from clogging. This has several positive effects. For example, if you suffer from dry skin, the skin fat, the sebum, gets better on the skin. In addition, pore-deep cleaning prevents the formation of inflammatory herds, which are responsible for pimples and impurities. The peeling body scrub can also help against cellulite, because the massage with the small grains improves the skin’s blood circulation. The effect: softer, smoother skin.
Coffee-coconut peeling
You need it all:
- Grounds
- Coconut
Here’s how to do the peeling:
If coffee grounds are left after coffee cooking, don’t throw it away, but put it in a bowl. Already in this state you could use it wonderfully as a peeling body scrub, but my tip: mix one or two spoonfuls of coconut oil. This not only conjures up a wonderful fragrance in your bath and on your skin, but also nourishes it. Simply take the mixture into the shower and rub it in circular movements all over the body. Then wash off with lukewarm water and your exfoliation is ready for yourself!
The caffeine in the coffee supports the effect of better blood circulation and stimulation of cell renewal in the peeling. This allows you to counteract cellulite with regular use. The coconut oil provides the necessary care for the skin and makes it soft and supple.
Salt peeling
You need it all:
- Finely ground sea salt
- Oil (e.g. olive oil)
- some soap
Here’s how to do the peeling body scrub:
Grate the piece of soap and combine a spoonful of it with two spoons of sea salt and three spoons of oil. Once everything is mixed up, you can get started! It is best to measure the mass in the shower on the still moist skin. So you gently free your skin from small lumps and it is stroked by it. Of course, you can increase the amount of soap flakes or salt until you find the consistency of the peeling pleasant. After massaging your body with the mass, you rinse everything thoroughly so that no residues remain.
You can use the sea salt peeling body scrub for both your face and the body. However, make sure you use fine-grained sea salt for your face. For the body, it may also be coarse-grained salt. How often you can apply the peeling depends on your skin.
Note: Natural products can also cause allergies. Please note that each body reacts differently to certain skin care products. For risks and side effects, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
