Why only dream of a dream job? Your dream can become a reality. We spend so much of our life at work, so finding and realizing your dream job is not a bad idea. And if you do it right, you can do it. A dream job is simply the job for which we do not torture ourselves out of bed in the morning, but which we enjoy. That complements us, fulfills us and is also interested in work. For whom we also like to invest more than just the usual. Simply because we are passionate about it. Does it sound utopian? Absolutely not!

What is stopping you from doing your dream job? To be honest: most likely you yourself. If you take these 6 things into consideration, the perfect job should work.

6 steps to get your dream job

1. Don’t compromise -think big!

Don’t study law just because your parents would like it if you feel yourself called to design. And don’t look at what others are doing, but focus on yourself and your strengths. What is your talent And if you are looking for a job, search for yourself and don’t let yourself be searched. If you only look for vacant positions instead of thinking about which company you would like to work in, you will never get your dream job. Think big!

2. Put your heart and soul into it

“You can’t climb the ladder of success with your hands in your pockets.” This is not only true in terms of success, but also in terms of achieving your dream job. Only those who are wholeheartedly involved will convince here. But the nice thing is: As far as your dream job is concerned, it is easy for you to be passionate and enthusiastic about it.

3. Does your job reflect your values?

People often confuse success and fulfillment. It is definitely not the same thing. Sometimes you are on the way up steeply in terms of career and then realize that another way actually feels much more right. Even if this means that you have to start over again or limit yourself – this is about the realization of your dream. So go for it!

4. Create a network

You don’t always have to fight alone. Especially at work it makes sense to network and create a good circle of contacts. Sometimes such a network is even more helpful than your resume. Xing, Linkedin but also Facebook: Use these social networks.

5. Be brave

Why not try something? It is about nothing more and nothing less than what you will spend most of your time with in the future. Therefore, your dream job is more than worth risking something, showing perseverance and accepting one or two setbacks. Fall down, get up, straighten your crown! If everything is always simple and predictable, you will never be able to test your limits, learn and develop yourself.

6. Know your strengths – and show them

Your current or future boss will not always know what you are doing. And therefore not what you can do. You have to advertise yourself a little. Tell about your projects, your successes and your ideas. Register for special tasks that interest you. This is the only way to get your attention.
