4 easy recipes to make chocolates yourself

Chocolates are a great invention, even if they are among the thickeners. As they exude a touch of elegance, preciousness and luxury, they are wonderful to give away. However, it is usually the case that a box always contains chocolates that the recipient does not like to eat.

If you want to make your loved one a real pleasure, you can simply do the chocolates yourself. So you can be sure that all the chocolates meet the taste of the recipient. Making the chocolates isn’t even that hard. We would like to introduce you to four recipes below:

Recipe number 1:

With the first of our easy recipes to make chocolates, you can make very simple but tasty chocolates. In a saucepan of hot water, place a bowl or smaller pot in which you add block chocolate, bar chocolate or even chocolate leftovers (from chocolate Easter bunnies or chocolate Santas) and melt them.

Now you can add a wide variety of things: almonds, coconut raspberries, pistachios or other nuts or candied fruits. If you put cornflakes in the chocolate, then you can make chocolate crossies yourself. You simply have to melt the mixture well and stir well over and over again.

If the chocolate is liquid, then you must pour it into moulds and let it turn cold. Old chocolate packs are ideal for the moulds, so don’t throw them away. Alternatively, you can make the chocolate more viscous (e.g. with honey) and then sprinkle it on aluminium foil.

Recipe number 2:

For the second of our easy recipes to make chocolates, we would like to introduce you to a recipe for delicious truffle chocolates. Melt 100 grams of milk chocolate and 100 grams of bitter chocolate in the water bath. Stir in another bowl, then stir 125 grams of margarine and 125 grams of icing sugar frothy. Then lift the melted chocolate under this mass.

In this mass you can now give a variety of things. How about nuts? You can also spice up the taste by add some liqueur, syrup or coffee to the mass. Allow to cool for half an hour. From the cooled mass you can now form small balls. Then you can dip it back into another chocolate or roll it into something. There are no limits to your imagination here.

Recipe number 3:

In the third of our easy recipes to make chocolates, you can make simple chocolates from a marzipan raw mass or nougat. But the chocolates will certainly taste better if you make the marzipan yourself. Now roll the marzipan or nougat mass into small balls. You can then cover these balls with chocolate. Which chocolate you take for it is up to you.

The finished balls can be decorated again in a variety of ways. Combinations of marzipan and nougat are also particularly tasty. Roll some nougat into a small ball. Now give some marzipan around the ball. Roll the whole thing until the marzipan envelops the nougat ball. Then you can dip the resulting nougat marzipan ball in chocolate and roll it into something.

Recipe number 4:

You can also buy hollow bodies and fill them yourself as our fourth of the easy recipes to make chocolates. It’s very simple. All you have to do is fill in the hollow bodies that you like. How about, for example, vanilla truffles? Just get a few hollow bodies of white chocolate. Put 150 grams of cream and the marrow of a vanilla pod in a saucepan. Heat the cream a little now. But it is not allowed to cook!

Add 40 grams of butter to the mixture. Then pour the whole thing into a bowl with 200 grams of chopped white couverture. The chocolate must dissolve completely. After the mass has cooled, you can fill it into the balls with the help of a spray. Now all you have to do is close the balls. To do this, melt some couverture in a water bath again. Seal the balls with a blob of couverture. If the lids are hard, you can coat the balls again with some chocolate and roll them into icing sugar, for example.

Conclusion

As you can see, it’s not that hard to make chocolates yourself. The great thing is that you can prepare the chocolates the way they taste. Homemade chocolates are also always something very special. So they are great for giving away.
