Recently there was such a day with wind and when I came home after my walk, my face was very dry and felt poor. This chocolate mask is the perfect remedy for dry skin, so here is the easy recipe for how to make a chocolate mask.
Pure nature
Fortunately I found the ingredients of this chocolate mask in my kitchen cupboard and I could start using it immediately. If you want you can watch the video above to see how I am doing and to hear my story. Or you can read the ingredients below and get started immediately.
Ingredients
Apple cider vinegar
Use for its anti-inflammatory properties. This is a nice addition especially with acne or other impurities on your skin. In addition, it brings the pH of your skin back into balance by the natural acids.
Organic milk, coconut milk or almond milk
This supports the hydration of your skin through the moisturizing fats in the milk. It also helps the skin in the renewal process by removing the dead skin cells and gently exfoliating the clogged pores.
Raw cocoa powder or organic cocoa powder
The first is clearly preferred here because all goodies are still present in this raw cocoa powder. But if you don’t have it at home, then grab your – preferably – organic cocoa powder.
The antioxidants in the powder are super important these days, with all the dirt that we are bombarded with from the outside. The powder helps to increase the skin’s resistance to these influences.
Next to each other this is a nice combination for protection but also as food for your skin. You can also apply this mask to your body if you can use some extra hydration and support there.
The chocolate mask recipe
1/4 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon of milk (whatever shape)
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
Instructions
Add the vinegar to the milk and let it stand for 3 minutes
Mix in the cocoa powder
Spread the chocolate mask on your face or skin with a brush or your fingers.
Let sit for about 10 minutes
Note: it dries up and can leave chocolate crumbs where you are. So lay down a towel or something similar.
Wet a cloth, put it on your face so that the chocolate mask becomes softer again. Now gently scrub your skin with it and remove everything with a wet microfiber cloth. Or wash your face clean with warm water.
Apply now with your favorite moisturizing face oil or cream.
