Use masking tape to color block walls: step by step

  • First set the width of the border and mark the upper and lower edge with a rule and pencil.
  • Use a spirit level to mark the length of the border with pencil along the marked points.
  • Then stick the tape according to the pattern. Either free hand or mark the lines beforehand. To make sure the tape really sticks to the wall and can not run any paint underneath, it is pressed with a cloth at the edges.
  • Larger colored areas are applied with the roller.
  • On borders and small fields, it is best to apply the paint with a brush.
  • As long as the paint is still wet, the tape is pulled flat and swiftly from the wall.
