The right care before make-up is crucial
Before you start with the make-up, you should treat those lips a little care. Use a lip balm to keep your lips from getting too much moisture from the products. If your lips are already very dry or brittle, it is advisable to apply a light exfoliation before the lip balm.
So small flakes of skin are gently removed from the lips and deeply nourished the lips. For example, if you do not have a special scrub in your closet, you can easily use a mix of sugar and honey – it works just as well!
It depends on the right color!
The two main products to give the lips more depth are the Lipliner and of course – the lipstick! To make the lips look fuller, you should choose the lipliner in a slightly darker shade than your lipstick. The lipstick should be tailored to the color of your lips so that the color does not look unnatural.
For narrower lips, it has a concealing effect when the lipstick is not too dark. Therefore, you should stick to tones like nude, apricot or pink, if you want to emphasize your thin lips nicely. If you then fill the lips with the lipstick, you can dab a lighter lipstick in the center of the lip a little bit.
My tip: I always use a highlighter! This step gives a particularly three-dimensional effect and visually enlarges the lips. The effect is particularly effective if you use a glossy lipstick or a lip gloss for this purpose. That’s how the light reflects beautifully on your lips.
