How to make lipstick last longer

Skin care

Red lipstick is an absolute must-have and makes us look particularly feminine – but unfortunately the lipstick often says goodbye faster than we would like. We show you our tips on how to make lipstick last longer and keep your lipstick on your lips for a long time!

How to make your own blush and lipstick

Make lipstick last longer: the preparation!

Before you start applying make-up, it is recommended to gently exfoliate to remove the old scales from your lips and create a smooth base. Then you can apply a lip balm – this moisturizes, so your lips do not dry out so fast. You should also make sure that the lip care is fully absorbed before you start applying make-up. If you don’t have the proper base prepared, you won’t get the best results — just as with all your makeup.

Red lips should be kissed…

The longest staying lipsticks are often labeled by the manufacturer as ‘kissable’, but with our tips you can also help a common lipstick to more durability.

1. A lip liner usually lasts longer than a lipstick, so it is beneficial to apply the lip liner under the lipstick. Not only can you line up your lips with the lip liner, you can also fill in the inside slightly to extend its shelf life.

2. It’s best to use a lip brush to apply your lipstick, because it makes it work more precisely. Just fill in your lips carefully with the color. A little tip: Try to apply several thin layers and let them dry well in between!

3. Then it is advisable to remove the excess color with a tissue, so that the excess product does not start to crumble after a while.

4. At the very end, add a little bit of powder to your lips. A little tip for this: It is advisable to give the powder over a facial tissue over the lips. Because the lipstick is well fixed, but not too dull and dehydrating!

And your long-lasting lipstick is done! Now you can go out into the day and not have to worry about whether you need to keep checking it or redoing it. a blessing when you have important lunch meetings, long meetings or presentations, or need to attend a work function after hours — not to mention dating lunches and dinners!
