1. Why make DIY vacuum cleaner bags yourself?

2. Instructions
To make a vacuum cleaner bag yourself, you need the following materials:
- Some cardboard
- A sewing machine and thread or yarn
- Old fabric (e.g. from a discarded bed sheet or an old shopping bag)
- A sealing rubber for opening
- One zipper
First, measure your conventional vacuum cleaner bag accurately so that the reusable bag doesn’t become too big or too small. Now make a cardboard stencil. This stencil now serves as a template for cutting out the bag from fabric.
Cut the fabric according to the template and sew it together with the help of the sewing machine. However, be sure to integrate the hole of the vacuum cleaner bag. You should also leave one of the shorter pages open.

In the penultimate step, attach a rubber to the opening. The still open side is zipped to empty the bag.
