How to delete all photos from iPhone

delete all photos on iphone

To delete all photos from iPhone, you need to do a little trick, because Apple does not have an easy function for you to do it. So you do not have to delete each picture individually, but save yourself a lot of time. Our guide will show you exactly how to do it.

Delete all photos from iPhone

An option to really delete all photos from iPhone at once, is not currently offered as a function on the iPhone. However, depending on the view, the pictures are displayed in thematic blocks, so you can select many photos at the same time and then delete them.

  • Once you’ve entered the photo app, tap the “Photos” option in the bottom navigation bar and use the arrow key on the top left to go to the top level.
  • Then tap on the box with photos under one of the year numbers.

Important note: Before you delete all photos from iPhone, you should always create a backup of your data.

  • You will now see several collections for the year.
  • Tap here again on a box with photos to go one level deeper into the collections.
  • Now go first in the upper navigation bar on option “Select”.
  • Then you will see the option “Select” behind each collection.
  • Touch all the blocks of pictures you want to delete.
  • After you have marked all the collections, click on the recycle bin at the bottom of the navigation bar and the photos are finally deleted from iPhone.
  • If you have a lot of pictures on the iPhone, it will take a while to delete all the pictures. In any case, you are faster than removing photos one at a time.

Tip: Create your own folders under “Albums” next time. This makes it much easier to delete pictures later.

If you have deleted too many pictures, you can restore the pictures . In another article, we show how it works. And here is how to replace an iPhone battery.
