Determine skin type: Here’s how it works
First, you should take a close look at your facial skin. Maybe you already recognize a few scaly or greasy spots, which can give you an indication of your skin type. The best way to do this is to wash your face with water and wait about half an hour. You should not use cosmetics of any kind, it only distorts the result. After half an hour you look at your skin then exactly in the mirror and already you should be able to determine my skin type with the help of my article.
There are roughly five different types.
Determine Skin Type # 1: Normal Skin
No feelings of tension, but a light, healthy Glan? Then you have normal skin. This is the ideal condition of the skin. Means: no enlarged pores, little to no impurities or dry spots. thanks to balanced sebum production, your face will shine a little.

Determine Skin Type # 2: Dry Skin
Your skin tenses – especially after washing. It is cracked, flaky and feels rough: this is dry skin. You have fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes, as the skin is less elastic due to the reduced sebum production. That’s why the complexion often looks dull.

My care tip: Avoid alcohols in cosmetics! At night use a rich cream, eg with moisturizing urea, and apply liberally.
Attention! Very dry skin may indicate diseases such as atopic dermatitis or psoriasis. You should have that clarified by the dermatologist in any case.
Determine skin type # 3: Oily skin
Shortly after washing, your skin will lose weight – and not too little. Oily skin is usually based on a disturbed hormone production. Large and well visible pores are characteristic, as well as a pronounced shine on the face. The skin tends to increase through the increased production of sebum to impurities such as blackheads or pimples.

My care tip: On drying agents, the skin reacts with even more sebum. Prefer to use non-fat, moisturizing cosmetics.
Determine skin type # 4: combination skin
Your T-Zone produces more sebum than necessary, but your cheeks are dry and tense? This means that you have combination skin. On the forehead, nose and chin occur through larger pores increased impurities, but you have mostly on the cheeks, often on the eyes, scaly skin.

Skin Type # 5: Mature and sensitive skin
The skin changes as early as the mid-20s – depending on the person, these changes progress faster or slower until you officially speak of mature skin. This has to fight especially with loss of moisture and can thereby unpleasant tension.

My care tip: Anti-aging products provide your skin with sufficient moisture and cushion small wrinkles. Generous sunscreen slows the skin aging.
