set up an aquarium for beginners

The underwater world is particularly fascinating by all kinds of animal lovers, and particularly children — for many, a goldfish may be one of their first pets. Many of them would like to deal more intensively with the keeping of fish and the care of an aquarium. And an aquarium adds an elegant and relaxing atmosphere to a home. Fulfilling this dream is no longer difficult with our guide to set up an aquarium for beginners.

An example that is also suitable for beginners are the particularly small nanoaquariums, to which one hardly has to devote more time than an average care-intensive house plant. Needless to say, these are also a good way for children to start learning about how to set up an aquarium for beginnners. A nano tank is a very small aquarium. It is not much larger than a six-pack. These tanks are also called bonsai aquariums. Although they are too small for keeping fish, aquatic plants and shrimps can be kept in it.

Set up an aquarium for beginners: A great hobby for children

The small underwater worlds can become an exclusive design object with loving planting, lifestyle character included when you set up an aquarium for beginners. They turn the living room, hallway and bedroom into a lifestyle zone and also add a special touch to law firms, practices or offices. A cubic tank has a very decorative effect on a spacious desk. But it can also be nicely positioned on the sideboard or on a free-standing cabinet. You don’t have to invest a lot of time to enjoy this hobby. There are a few basic rules to keep in mind. In addition, the equipment should be chosen carefully.

The installation of the tank is very simple:

First of all, you decide on the location of the tank. Direct sunlight must be avoided as well as too much daylight. There should be no radiator near the aquarium. On the purchase list for what you will need are just the tank, lighting and filter, and (depending on the needs): a cabinet, water conditioner, soil, decoration and plants as well as a controller heater and bacterial cultures.

Once the tank has been set up, it is first left for a while without putting any fish in it. The fish are only purchased when the ecological situation in the basin is stable. The pet store can show you a very simple and cheap test kit to check the ph of the water (how acidic or alkaline it is). Different fish may require different levels of ph, but none of them like to go into an aquarium with completely fresh water in it.
